Here's what we're starting with for Coco's nursery. Isn't it gorgeous? :)
We're going with the color on the right on three walls, and one white wall. Jeff's not thrilled about the two tone room, but he'll have to deal with it because it took forever to find the paint that matched the fish we're putting up!
These fish are vinyl decals from Uppercase Living and can be reused, which is nice, since I don't have to get the placement right the first time! They will go on the white wall because the light parts of the fish and water match the walls exactly!
Our crib and changing table and the chair I hope to get

If you don't get the chair, you can always find one at a garage sale, paint it, and have someone re-upholster the cushions! Total spent for mine = $60 :-) I think the nursery is going to look great! Tell Jeff to get over the 2 tone walls, half the rooms in my house are that way and they look great! :-)
ReplyDeleteMy original backup plan for the chair was an Ikea Poang chair I have in my living room, that always gets moved around when it's in the way! It just doesn't have a foot stool, which I heard is helpful with nursing.
ReplyDeleteThere are neat nursing stools you could buy to supplement the Poang chair and still not spend a ton! I didn't really find the foot rest of mine to be a necessity, it was nice but I could easily live without it.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to keep that in mind, and the "repurposing" a yard sale/craigslist chair. I also have to realistic in the sense that Jeff already has a TON to do to get our house ready and the baby's room, and work outside the home too, so I can't come up with too many more projects for him to have to do!
