Sadly, this show has become the highlight of my afternoon. Well, that and Rachael Ray. It's gonna be a long rest of the pregnancy!
I had another appointment today. The good news: my blood pressure came down a bit (now 120s/80s instead of 154/112!). The doctor would still like to up my dose and see it go down a little more, but since I am already feeling lightheaded, he's giving me more time to adjust to the medicine. The bad news: it sounds like I get to do this whole bedrest thing for a lot longer. Like until the end. Whenever that is. I asked and the doctor was intentionally vague about how early I may deliver (which makes sense, since he's not God, but I just wanted a rough guess). I also had trace amounts of proteins in my urine today, so next week I need to get baseline labwork done to test for my kidney function, and other levels in my body so they'll have something to compare future tests to. I also am going to be going to see the doctor weekly now. The lady at the check out desk thought I must be 36 weeks along since I'm going weekly now! If only!
Also, I've been asked by a few people now where I am registered and about showers. That would be Target (cause it's awesome), and Babies R Us (because Target, although awesome, doesn't carry everything I wanted, and has a bigger store with more in stock that doesn't change over as quickly). To my knowledge, we aren't having showers, although my church typically does a small shower for first time moms and dads. I haven't heard anything about it though, so who knows? AND, I'm just gonna throw this out there...I did NOT say where we're registered for in order to hint for gifts. They're appreciated, but not necessary. I just was sick of answering so many emails and facebook messages about it!
I'm also currently accepting ideas for how to keep me entertained while on modified bedrest. I have a long list of books I'd like to read, though the Grand Rapids Public Library may fail me on a few (they just don't have a lot of books, and several I've looked up haven't been there already). Hint, my KDL friends, that I'll be asking you to pick up books for me! I also have netflix, but only get one movie at a time, with about a 2-3 day turn around, so I need to fill in the gaps.
FYI: our Netflix plan also allows us to stream movies and TV shows online and through our Wii but I'm not sure if all the plans do or not.
ReplyDeleteWe've got an xbox that we stream through. It's used more often for me watching tv shows and movies than for Jeff to actually play video games!
