Sleeping on his tummy?

I know, I know. Back to sleep, right? But what do you do when your baby is most definitely a tummy sleeper? He loves to snuggle on his tummy on us, on the floor, in his crib. I tried it for a nap after he almost fell asleep during tummy time, and had to wake him up 4 hours later. Now I don't know what to do about bedtime. Jeff wants to try it, and I'm worried I'll be a nervous wreck. I'd never forgive myself if something happened, but he just isn't going to sleep on his back, which isn't good for any of us. Agh. I hate the tough decisions!

  1. I think if I ever had this model of baby I would try to find a way to afford a AngelCare Monitor.

  2. I thought about that, but apparently by the time the alarm goes off, it's too late to do anything if SIDS is the cause. Apnea, yeah, but not sids. And we already splurged with the video monitor...so I just don't know!

  3. okay. i just caved and forked over $65 I didn't really have to get the movement sensor (i didn't get the fancy one with sound too). we'll see how many false alarms I get...i heard that's a HUGE issue with them.
