2 Months Already?

Cole was not very happy today. He must not like monthiversaries. We'll try for a better picture tomorrow. 

This month, Cole likes sitting upright better than laying down, doesn't care much for his bouncer or for tummy time (he thinks it's time to sleep when he's on his tummy, and just sucks on his hands instead), and is a much happier baby all around! He loves to stare at us and smile, and if we laugh at him, he'll laugh back. He also coos at me all day long it seems. I even noticed him talking to the hanging toys on one of the bouncy seats! He has held a few toys, but needs some help grabbing them first, and has recently discovered his hands...and they are SO much fun to watch! He has sort of rolled over, but it wasn't a full roll from tummy to back, so we're not counting it quite yet. Cole doesn't cry through all his diaper changes anymore, because he has discovered the amazingly interesting corner in the dining room near his pack n play, and he is mesmerized by the nightlight in his room during changes! He is also starting to get mad at me if I leave the room and he can't see me anymore. 

Cole is wearing 3 month clothes, but his pants always seem too short, even though he has stubby little legs. I'm hoping he stays in this size for a little while yet, since the stuff is so cute and snuggly, and I am sad he's growing up so fast! He is about 12 pounds already, and only 23 inches, so he's still a little chunker. He twice slept through the night (two nights in a ROW!), and had been in a fairly solid pattern of sleeping about 6 hours, then 3 hours, then another 3 hours at night, only waking to eat. The past few days, however, he has decided it's cool to fight sleep, wake up every 2-3 hours tops, and stay awake for about 2 hours each time. I am not amused. Hopefully we'll get him back into a nicer pattern this month, and maybe even get him out of his carseat at night. So far, he naps well in his crib, but won't sleep at night on his back.
