From carseat to crib

Someone shoot me when I think the carseat is a lifesaver for getting a baby that just wants to be held to sleep next time. Getting him to sleep without it is pure hell. He ends up falling asleep, waking up every 5-10 minutes for 1.5-2 hours, finally staying asleep for a measly hour, rinse and repeat. Welcome to my night. Plus he is now ridiculously overtired so he can't/won't even fall asleep anymore. He got a grand total of about 5 hours of sleep last night, and I got about 3.5 when you count not being able to fall asleep, and I don't see any naps in our future the way he is right now! Assume they continue like this until further notice...meaning, if you ask me how nights are going, I will probably not be very nice to you.

  1. Good luck. Tillie slept in her carseat until she was 3 months old. I couldn't get her out of it any earlier. She also didn't start napping anywhere but on me until then.

    It sucks.

  2. He has been napping swaddled in the crib, just for some reason when it's night, he can't/won't do it!
