Monday: Ultrasound that measured early 5 weeks or so
Tuesday: hcg level around 17000
Thursday: hcg level around 25000
Friday: told that hcg levels look good (they don't double in 48 hours after they reach 10000), BUT (don't you just love it?) he won't definitively say that things look good overall until he sees a fetal pole on an ultrasound, and he would really like to see a heartbeat. That would mean we just have the dates wrong, aren't as far along as we thought, things are fine. If we don't see a fetal pole on the ultrasound Weds. then it looks like it is a blighted ovum/missed miscarriage, where Coco stopped growing but I haven't started the miscarriage process yet. So yes, we received good news, but with a huge, impending worry that will hang over our heads until after the ultrasound on Weds. I wish he could just have said one way or the other...though I appreciate that he didn't say, "things are great" and then have a bad ultrasound next week. So keep up the praying, folks! :) Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers!
