We had another ultrasound today, and after making us wait 35 minutes past our appointment time, we finally got in, and immediately saw more on the screen than last time, and the doctor found the heartbeat (124 bpm)!! Finding the heartbeat greatly decreases our chances of miscarrying (we have 90% chance now of carrying to term), but that risk is always out there...we're grateful that everything was good today though! My adjusted due date right at the New Year now, which is kind of cool. I was put on several restrictions to ensure things go ok...no lifting (apparently even a little girl I take care of is pushing it--I'll still watch her, I'll just cut out unnecessary lifting), stop doing anything if it is causing any spotting or cramping, no exercise, basically nothing "extra".
These first two pictures are 10 days ago at about 5 weeks. They couldn't confirm anything other than I did not have an ectopic pregnancy.
This is today at approximately 6 and a half weeks. Right where the arrow is we saw the heartbeat. Also notice that in the bottom right corner, it lists the CRL (crown to rump length)...only a little over half a centimeter! What an awesome God we have who can create something so small and allow us the technology to be able to see it!
This is me at the "beginning" (6 weeks)...just to have a reference point.

This is great news!!! I'm so glad that everything is ok. We are still praying for all 3 of you and won't stop. We love you!!

ReplyDeleteThat would be fantastic!! But I will under no circumstances fit Wilma into my child's name...the birthday sharing would be cool though!
