Food

If one more person tells me it's early for morning sickness, I'm gonna scream! I'm aware that it will probably get worse before it gets better. Also, I do not find it helpful to be told horror stories about how your cousin's neighbor's best friend's sister threw up for 24 hours straight for the entire pregnancy. Who would want to be told that? Is it supposed to be comforting? Crazy people...

At this point, I am mostly just nauseous, and not all the time. I have yet to find a food that is good every time, and can become my "go-to food" to stave off nausea. Apples, triscuits, saltines, peaches, and peppermints work a lot of the time, but not always. This is complicated by me being an intensely picky eater to begin with. I have not found any meals that sound good or don't make me feel worse after eating them. Suggestions are appreciated.

  1. I thought I commented on this last night, but maybe not. Have you tried Lemon Drops?

  2. I haven't had those in years...I might have to have Jeff stop and pick some up on his way home! Today I wasn't nauseous so much as lightheaded. I think I'd rather be nauseous!

  3. It's not too early for "all day" sickness, talk to your doctor about B-6 vitamins and a half a Unisom tablet taken before bedtime. I was so sick when I was pregnant with Luke and when I got sick of just dealing with it I asked the doctor, and she told me 1 B-6 vitamin + 1/2 unisom tablet. It was like a miracle, I felt so much better!

  5. I'm already taking the B6 and unisom...I'm a wimp when it comes to feeling crummy. I cry, i get whiny, etc. so I asked right away about that kind of stuff...I've also been told i can get a prescription for phenergan (or something like taht), but is it REALLY expensive since it's typically an anti-nausea drug used in cancer patients.
