Update on the house

Monday our realtor called and told us we got the house! We called people and celebrated by going out for dinner, and later dessert. Then Tuesday, the realtor told me that yet another person has to approve the sale before it can officially be ours, so we're back to waiting. I am so over being patient. I don't think I have any patience left, so I am not that happy about this recent addition to the process. Also, we have very limited time to move and the dates are fast approaching. Even if we found out today that the last person had approved the sale, the earliest we could close would be the 10th, which would be okay, since I have off of work and could go right from closing to cleaning the house. If we have to go beyond that, I don't have any more time off until the 23rd, which was one of the weekends we had considered for moving. We also have a lot of work we were planning on doing in the house before we can move in. I had really hoped to move before the snow falls to make moving in a little more pleasant, but it might not happen now. All I have to say is, don't ever expect things to go smoothly when you are buying a short sale home!
