House update #2

The realtor called me on my way to work yesterday morning and said he got an email from the short sale expert on our sale, saying that he has a verbal agreement with the last person who has to okay the sale. The realtor doesn't feel comfortable moving forward with the inspections until we have that verbal agreement on paper, but its looking very good! He said it wasn't really a matter of if we still get the house, but when we get it. He also warned the other bank/agent, that if they pull any funny stuff last minute again, we're walking away (which isn't necessarily true, but could be if we get pushed enough--we want the tax credit!), because they are making us nervous. Hopefully things will move smoothly from here on out, so that we can get in the house and start on the work that has to be done before we move in. Anyone who's seen our bed knows how huge it is and how hard it will be to move, so we want to make sure the floors upstairs are refinished before moving in our bedroom furniture, because I am not moving that again! We also would like to get the shower up in the bathroom, but we do have one in the basement bath that we could use if we had to...its just far from convenient. So anyway, lots of work to do, and not as much time to do it all, but hopefully we're moving forward on things this weekend.
