House update #3

I had really hoped this update would say it was inpection time...but I must have forgotten for a second that I am a Van't Hof and nothing ever goes smoothly for us. Our realtor had heard that we were waiting on one piece of paper with a signature from the seller's mortgage insurance company and then we could go ahead with our inspections. Well, the person who told him it was in the mail 10 days ago, got fired and never actually mailed it. So now a new employee needs to "catch up, which could take awhile" which means we may not get that signature signing off on the sale. If we do get it, it might take several weeks, which pushes moving and closing and everything back by a few weeks. We may not get the tax credit, which we kind of need to fix up the outside and put in new windows. Without it, we may not be able to do all the work we need to do in the house once we get it. We also may not be able to move until there is snow on the ground, which makes getting out of our apartment a trick, since most of our furniture came in through the front window (on the second story), and I am not sliding it down a snow covered roof. Not to mention that its hard to get a truck to park in the front yard under the window when there's a foot or two of snow covering the area, and that's the only way to reach what's coming out the front window. Also, all our furniture will then get covered with snow/salt/nastiness that is Michigan roads in the winter when we drive it to the house. We may be stuck until April if we don't get out before the snow. I absolutely cannot handle all the stress of this anymore, so this better get figured out quickly before I have a nervous breakdown!
