Chicco Keyfit Carseat
I chose this brand infant seat when I had Cole and am so glad I did. I had narrowed it down to this or the Graco Snugride (only the ones with the front adjusting harness), and liked the stroller better on this one. I immediately ruled out the Evenflo and Baby Trend seats because the handle has to be put down in the car, and I knew I would forget. Also the Baby Trend seats have annoying puzzle buckles which are hard to use on squirmy babies, and the triangle handle seemed extra bulky to me. I honestly LOVED this seat and was sad when Cole outgrew it. My only regret is I got the standard Keyfit, and since Cole grew so quickly, I should have gotten the Keyfit30.
Summer Infant video baby monitor
This thing has been a lifesaver! It was great for sleep training, is great now that Cole is trying to climb out of bed, and I love that I can just peek at him, even when it's dark in his room! The sound quality and range are great too! We use a regular monitor at my mom's and it isn't nearly as nice, even for just the sound portion. Definitely worth every penny (though it can be found for under $100 quite often!)!
Playtex Drop Ins bottles
I really loved these. I didn't plan on needing many bottles though, so I didn't think the cost of liners would be that big of a deal. Of course we ended up formula feeding, so I had to buy more than I thought. Target and Meijer both had adequate liners though. I chose these because I knew from working in daycare that the Ventaire ones leaked like crazy and the Dr. Brown's and Breast flow were hard to clean and took forever to feed. I think for the next kiddo, I will try Avent and Born Free bottles too, since I know I'll need more, and don't want to burn through liners all the time.
Twilight Turtle
Cole got this for his birthday from a friend, and it has been wonderful! He loves to turn it on before bed, and if he won't settle down for bed, turning this on definitely helps. It's gotten us through some breathing treatments where he was wiggly too.
Basic Bouncy Seat
This style was my favorite because it can easily be bounced with your feet while you sit in a chair. I learned that working in the infant room at daycare.
My experience with Avent bottles is that they leaked like crazy. I sold them all on craigslist. I honestly liked plain old cheap Gerber bottles with Tillie.
