Coco 33 Weeks

Jeff, Coco, and I kicked off week 33 with a 5 hour trip to the ER, thinking more and more that we might be celebrating Coco's birthday pretty soon. My racing heart was happening more frequently and making it difficult to breathe, so I called my doctor (who happened to be on call this weekend) and told him I didn't want to go in unless absolutely necessary, but he sent me in anyway. I had an EKG and was monitored for a few hours in labor and delivery to make sure that Coco was okay. I was having a lot of contractions while up there, but no heart issues. My heart rate was flying all over the place, but didn't get too high while on the monitors, as I figured, since that's kind of how it's been whenever I've gone in for anything! Once they were sure Coco was okay, I got transferred to the ER and was monitored there for a few hours. Sitting in the ER curtained areas was, well, entertaining to say the least. People go to the ER for the most interesting things, and bring along very "colorful" people. We had some pretty great nurses and some good doctors, and even though it felt like forever that we were there, they finally discharged me at 4am with orders to keep my cardiologist appointment for Tuesday. So that was an exciting start to week 33. Jeff said he was really starting to think that today was going to be Coco's birthday, but he is relieved that it won't be. I laughed and told him the day isn't over yet! I am still having plenty of contractions this morning, but was able to sleep through them, so they aren't anything to get excited about!

Coco is the size (approximately) of a honeydew melon this month, though according to ultrasound estimates, Coco weighs more than this, but is not quite as long.
