Depending on who you ask, we're starting the second trimester today! Just in time for our second anniversary, we made 12 weeks!! I'm super excited! Coco is the size of a plum (another food I've never eaten...hmmm), and I felt her move this week! Just a few flutters, and only if I sit quietly or lay on my stomach...the nurse told me a trick to get her to move if she won't, so I've been holding my breath a lot lately, trying to make Coco flutter around! I can't wait to feel him kick me (though I hope he behaves and stops when I ask!) and I definitely can't wait for Jeff to be able to feel him! Basically at this stage, almost all of Coco's organ systems are developed and working, and things are moving into a phase of growth and maturation. Coco is developing reflexes this week (clenching fists, squinting eyes, and suckling). AND Coco's eyes and ears are in the "right" spot now, and look much more human! Also, as I poke and prod my belly hoping to find a difference, Coco is squirming away...Sorry kiddo!
I braved a swimsuit this week...not cool. I hate swimsuits anyway, but this is just ridiculous! Also, sadly, I am still exhausted on a daily basis...I was hoping that'd be over with about now, especially since I'm going into work these next two weeks, so my days will suddenly feel so much longer (and I won't get my nap!).
I wore the same top in my 9 week picture and it definitely fits differently now...yikes!
