1. What did you do in 2009 that you'd never done before?
Buy a house

2. Did you keep your New Years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I rarely keep my resolutions...I usually don't even bother making them.

3. Did anyone close to you add children to their families?

4. Did anyone close to you die?
There were some deaths/losses for several people I know.

5. What countries did you visit?
None.

6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?
Money to remodel.

7. What date from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
11.1.2009 miscarriage

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
I became a homeowner

9. What was your biggest failure?
Why would I want to try to think one up?

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
When am I not dealing with a sickness?

11. What was the best thing you bought?
I'd like to say the house...sometimes I wonder though. Otherwise our car (though it was technically a gift, we picked it out)

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Jeff graduated/completed Calvin a few weeks ago!

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?

14. Where did most of your money go?
The house.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
A trip to Alaska in July.

Saving and exercising

Spent it at Mike and Tammy's.

Yes

None. Seriously, though, would anyone actually answer this...maybe if I steal this idea from Amber again, I'll change this question.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
No.

28. What did you want and get?
A house. A new job and another new job.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 23 in February and I'm sure I went out to dinner, but I can't remember. I never remember because its nearly a full year ago by this time.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Not experiencing losses. Having more money when we needed it for the house.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2009?
Jeans. Lots and lots of jeans. And looser cut tops.

34. What kept you sane?
Jeff and Tracy and a few great people from church.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
I don't really think celebrities or public figures are people to admire most of the time. They are just normal people with sometimes extraordinary jobs that put them in the spotlight...

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Homebuyers tax credit, cause we get one.

37. Who did you miss?
Lots of friends, family in PA, NY, etc.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
I can't decide or really remember meeting many people in '09...Alyssa?? (the 6 month old I nanny for)

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2009:
Saving more money is a necessity. Also, even when you think you'll never make it, you do.
