We closed on the house on Monday. I started cleaning right away on Monday morning. Tuesday I spent pretty much all day cleaning with Mom and Tracy. Wednesday afternoon I cleaned. Thursday evening, Tracy and I went supply shopping. Last night, Mom and Leah cleaned while I put things together. Today I will be there all afternoon and evening with Mom, Tracy, maybe Alisha and Leah. In between all that, I have been at work, interviewed for a new job, sent my husband to North Carolina to surprise an army buddy, and tried to stay sane. Needless to say, it's been a little bit busier than I anticipated. As much as I hate to cook, I really wish I had time to, because I am sick of eating out.
Work done:
Repaired a window or two, washed a few windows, wiped down doorframes and some walls, scrubbed the kitchen floor (now it is covered with drywall dust from fixing the ceiling), wiped out kitchen cupboards, scrubbed two toilets, two sinks, and a bathtub, primed and started painting the master bedroom, patched a few holes, dusted some ceiling fans, got the locks changed, dumped a lot of junk, started priming the office, bought new blinds to replace the mangled ones, cleaned out the fridge, and raked the driveway and backyard.
Work to do yet:
Finish the kitchen ceiling, finish painting the master bedroom, paint the office, paint the two full baths, clean the floors in 2 and a half baths, rewire a few things, paint the kitchen, replace the kitchen sink and faucet, throw away more junk, run electric to the garage again, install a garage door opener, install blinds and light fixtures and toilet seats I bought, rekey ANOTHER lock, mop all wood floors, wash all walls, put water in my name (paperwork still hasn't come yet, so I haven't been able to), vacuum the two rooms with carpet, run plumbing to drain the washing machine, install the smoke detectors (they are just sitting on the floor now), remove the alarm system, hang curtains, mow the lawn, rip out bushes/trees, and too many other things to think of right now...
(mostly the list is so I can remember what all I have to get done yet--and to let you know that this is why I am stressed out!)
