Here goes...

Well, to keep you all posted on our lives, here goes nothing!

The last little bit in review:

  • I graduated Calvin College with an English degree in May '08 (no, not for teaching! I want to be a librarian, preferably with kids!)

  • Jeff and I got married June 21, 2008 (it was gorgeous weather and we had no major problems). We rent a cute little apartment in the upstairs of a house...it's got character, which I like.

  • We went to Boston and Concord, Mass. for our honeymoon and saw a Red Sox game. It was a blast! We also traipsed all over both towns looking for used books...and of course, bought too many!

  • Jeff worked all summer, while I worked at finding work. I eventually found a job with a daycare as a teacher assistant. I usually work with the infants and sometimes the toddlers. Most of the time I love it...it can get stressful though! I sometimes miss sitting at home and watching TV, napping, and in general, having nothing to do.

  • Jeff is in his senior year at Calvin, studying history and political science. He will walk in the graduation ceremony in May, but still has one more semester after that. He'll officially be done in December of this year! (Let us know if you find a job for him!)

  • I am taking courses in Pharmacy Technician training and once I finish (which should be fairly soon) I will be taking the Pharm. Tech. Certification test which will give us some more options in this terrible economy (let's just say that this is not exactly how we pictured starting out married life together...we knew we'd be broke, but not this broke!)

  • Eventually I hope to go on to get my Master's degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS). We can't afford it right now.

  • In June, we'll be visiting relatives and going to a Phillies/Red Sox game! Better hope the Phillies win! We can't wait to see our family out there, especially since there are two cousins we haven't met yet...they're new (or fairly new)!

  • In July we'll be headed to Alaska with Jeff's family for a vacation. We're really looking forward to it!
